How It All Started

The genesis of Vinalia occurred in early 2022. Vinalia is the story of 5 people from different backgrounds who came to the realisation realised that wine is much more than just a passion. With their business experience gathered in sectors such as FMCG, Banking and Real Estate, Furniture and bespoke Cellars they quickly identified the need to create a wine haven for connoisseurs and enthusiasts. A place where the finest wine bottles, tasting events, and cellaring expertise all blend together for a unique wine experience.

Anthony R. Coombes, the Managing Director, has extensive experience in the wine industry. Having started his wine journey back in 1998 with wine & spirits import and distribution, he is now proudly steering Vinalia into a purveyor of experiences and conviviality.

With an aim of offering more than just selling wine, Vinalia is now a leading premium wine importer/distributor offering nearly 250 references in terms of wines and spirits. As we continue to grow, our focus remains to deliver a quality experience. Our dedicated and knowledgeable employees are uniquely qualified to deliver our exceptional portfolio to the Mauritian wine enthusiasts and aficionados.

On top of that, our team is here to advise and propose a tailored offering according to your needs and tastes. We take you on a discovery journey, where you can taste the wines, share your desired preferences and help us understand your wishes. We then propose carefully selected premium products sustainably sourced from France, South Africa, Spain and Italy. In fact, we want to create a destination where quality wine is always available and a happy moment is always achievable.
